Following the events of last November the Directors of Global Insurance Limited, Insurance Corporation of Tonga Limited and Dominion Insurance (Tonga) Limited have considered carefully how best to serve the ongoing insurance needs of our clients and the Tongan economy.
We have considered many different options and we have been mindful to choose one which will provide a viable on going and competitive insurance option for Tonga.
Accordingly the Directors of Global Insurance Limited have agreed to merge their business with Dominion Insurance (Tonga) Limited.
This will be effected by a transfer of all policies current on 31st July from Global Insurance Limited to Dominion Insurance (Tonga) Limited.
Coinciding with this transfer of polices Insurance Corporation of Tonga will become the exclusive agent of Dominion Insurance (Tonga) Limited.
If you are an existing client of Global Insurance Limited you will shortly receive a formal notice regarding the transfer of your policy to Dominion Insurance (Tonga) Limited. There will be no cost involved in this transfer.
The management of Global Insurance will continue to handle all claims notified under its policies and will attend to all policy matters originating prior to the 31st July.
It is expected that all matters relating to the merger will be completed by the end of September and the Directors, Management and staff of each company is committed to providing an enhanced service to all customers.
